It’s easy. To start, visit Tinder.com from any browser and you’ll instantly recognize the same familiar flow. If you’re new to Tinder, login through Facebook, choose your best photos, write your perfect bio and start swiping. Once you see that signature “It’s a Match!”, it’s time to start messaging. And that last step is more seamless than ever before if you’re on your desktop: it’s an experience specially designed for messaging, displaying your match’s profile as you chat.

Tinder Online is currently being tested in a handful of countries: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Philippines, and Sweden.

We know that some areas have limited access to Facebook, too. So we are testing the ability to login via SMS directly from your mobile phone in various markets.

I was personally offended by what you said. Your words to that woman were an assault, not only on her, but on all of us. Every day, we work to rid our ecosystem of bad actors like you. Why anyone would choose to go out into the world and spread hate I will never understand, but you do not have that choice on Tinder. Hate is not an option and we will continue to fight it wherever it rears its ugly head.

You have a lot to learn, Nick. I see that you studied global business, and that you joined your school’s programs for young entrepreneurs and technology management. Great choices. Because you’ll need to search far and wide to find an organization that will employ you now. But here’s the thing: our mission has always been to get people together to have real experiences in the real world. So how do we reconcile the fact that VR is the antithesis of this?

• Shake the remote to Rewind your swipe if you're a Tinder Plus subscriber.

4) When you're done swiping, sign out and give your friends (or sister) a chance to swipe.

We know that messaging and editing your profile on Tinder on Apple TV wouldn't be quite as fun as swiping. So don't forget to open your app on your phone to keep your profile fresh and message all your new matches.

Starting today, no matter how you identify, you can express your authentic self on Tinder.

To edit or add more information about your gender on Tinder, simply edit your profile. When you tap “I Am” and select “More” you can type a word that describes your gender identity. You can also select to be shown in searches which best reflect your identity. All users have the option to display their gender on their profile, as well.

More choices. More voices.

Every new person in your life expands your horizons in some way. Inclusion and acceptance drive this expansion, and we want Tinder to reflect the world that surrounds us every day.

No one will ever be banned from Tinder because of their gender. We haven’t had the right tools to serve our diverse community in the past, but that changes today. In addition to this new feature, we are learning to be a better ally to transgender and gender non-conforming communities by allocating additional resources to our support team, which includes educating our staff about the challenges facing these communities.

We know that we haven’t been perfect in the past. If you believe you were ever wrongfully removed from Tinder because another user reported you unfairly due to your gender, we want to invite you back to our platform. More genders on Tinder are rolling out in the U.S., U.K. and Canada.

The U.S. Presidential election is only one week away and the whole world is watching, weighing in – and swiping.

Last week, we launched Swipe the Vote in 16 countries around the world. Millions of swipes later, Tinder users have matched with one clear winner: Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Swipe the Vote, launched in partnership with Rock the Vote, served as one of the largest global polls of millennials in history and yielded some interesting results. As Tinder users weighed in on taxes, gun control, immigration, education and more, the majority in every country matched with Clinton. In Russia, however, 71% of users said they would vote for Trump – despite 76% of them matching with Clinton’s views on the issues.

Below are some more of the most notable takeaways:

In the U.S.:

Hillary vs. Donald

• 57% of American users matched with Hillary Clinton and 43% matched with Donald Trump, based on the issues alone.
• 53% of Tinder users in the United States say they plan to vote for Hillary Clinton and 47% of users plan to vote for Donald Trump.

The issues:

• Citizenship for All: 57% of users prefer a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.
• Occupy Wall Street?: 65% of users in the United States want an increase in taxes for the 1%.
• Free for All: 56% of users in the United States think college tuition should be free.

Global insights:

Hillary vs. Donald - Global Showdown:

• Globally, 80% of users matched with Hillary Clinton, and 20% of users matched with Donald Trump, based on the issues.
• Globally, 73% of users said they would vote for Hillary Clinton and 27% would vote for Donald Trump.
• Russia Votes Trump: Russia is the only country where the majority of users would choose to vote for Donald Trump. More than three quarters (76%) of users matched with Hillary Clinton based on the issues; however, 71% say they would vote for Donald Trump.

The issues:

• Education for Everyone: With the highest vote of any country, 86% of Argentina’s users want free college tuition.
• Girl Power: 96% of female voters in India matched with Hillary Clinton.
• Mercy on the 1%: 60% of users in Brazil said they wouldn’t want a tax increase on the top 1%.
• Healthcare for All: Each of polled countries believe that everyone deserves health care as their right as an American citizen.

The Swipe the Vote poll will be live on Tinder through today. So if you haven’t weighed in, don’t forget to tap on the ‘Swipe the Vote’ card and participate. And if you’re in the U.S., be sure to locate your nearest polling location once you match with your candidate by tapping ‘Go Vote.’

This election marks the first time in history that essentially all millennials are old enough to vote. In fact, millennials will play a larger role in this election than in any other – from the big decision to the global conversation – which is why we’re bringing Swipe the Vote to our users around the world.

Starting today, in partnership with Rock the Vote, Tinder users in more than 15 countries will have the opportunity to swipe on some of the most important issues facing American voters, from immigration to climate change, to find out if they’re #WithHer or on the #TrumpTrain – and whether their stances truly match with the candidate they’ve been supporting.

When you see the ‘Swipe the Vote’ card, simply tap on the card and swipe in the direction of the choice you agree with. To learn more about the issue, just tap the card before you swipe.

Before you’re matched with a candidate, you’ll be asked whom you would choose to be the next President of the United States. Will your choice be consistent with your swipes?

Once you’ve matched with a candidate, you can learn more about them by tapping on their names. And, if you’re swiping in the U.S., you can locate the closest polling location so you know exactly where to be on November 8th to cast your ballot.

Tinder has your back. Starting today, we're implementing a brand new algorithm that maximizes your match potential. It's simple: Smart Photos alternates the photo first seen by others when you’re shown on Tinder, notes each response as others swipe on you, and reorders your photos to show your best ones first. In testing, users saw up to a 12% increase in matches.

Let’s face it—we all want to know what works and what doesn’t, how to improve our profiles, and insight into what gives us a swipe up on the competition. Tinder’s Smart Photos continuously tests your profile photos for their success, so that you’re always leading with the photos most likely to be swiped right. Think of us as your own personal data research team. Which side is my good side? Does posing with the pooch up my game? With Tinder’s Smart Photos, now you’ll know.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and it’s true. We all Swipe Right for different reasons, so everyone on Tinder has a distinct swiping pattern. Smart Photos takes into account each individual’s swiping pattern when selecting which of your photos they’ll see first. It’s a system that gets smarter with more input: the more you swipe and the more you’re swiped on, the better the algorithm serves you. Yes, there’s science behind the swipe.
